︎︎︎.patriarch_smasher
This cyber sculpture is an activist. If the domain is dominated by male voices, the character gets triggered, causing the red lights to rise. When they reach the top, the sculpture gets activated and shares women/ who have played an important role in the history of computing ...

︎︎︎.model.collapse
This sculpture is a prompted image used as a recipe to reconstruct the sculpture as precisely as possible using 3D prints and wooden elements that were cut out by computer-controlled machines.
It shows all artefacts, relics and symbols that make up the landscape. The matching query you can type in at the mainstation to discover the area.

︎︎︎.tetem_is_closed
This game is based on the first photo on the internet of a lesbian couple. The photo is the only queer in a dataset of an image-creating algorithm. Based on that data, the algorithm learns to recognise patterns and characteristics. The training of this data results in a model, which is then used to make predictions and decisions and, in this case, create images.
Help the photo feel less lonely by solving minigames and collect data about queer literature and pop culture. Your choices determine how the story unfolds. In an experimental manner, this game provides an insight into the invisible choices that are made when training algorithms.

︎︎︎.phantasmagoria
Phantasmagoria uses image analysis to see what the other sculptures are having knowledge about. Sometimes it generates new images present in the digital landscape based on the analysis.
Discover their stories at the mainstation by searching for: phantasmagoria, labelling, benchmark, dataset and face.

︎︎︎.seeding_venus
seeding_venus is the replica (3 times the size) of the Venus of Willendorf, a sculpture of a female body made 29,500 years ago. The proportions of the original reflect how a woman would view her own body from a first-person perspective...
This reinterpretation of the Venus shows how the sculpture is labelled in datasets (in CAPSLOCK) and in lower case the prompts added to the creation of new images to break this gaze.
New venusses are being generated with the help of an image creation algorithm: based on an image of the venus, donated body parts and prompts.
These generative images attempt to hack current perceptions, standards, and interpretations of femininity and beauty that are limited to the training data of algorithms.

︎︎︎.extractor
︎︎︎.includor
︎︎︎.mystificator
︎︎︎.classificator
These 4 deities are guarding the 4 domains in the landscape: extraction, inclusion, mystification and classification.
Discover their stories at the mainstation by searching for: extraction, inclusion, mystification and classification.
The cyber sculptures in the exhibition are experiments, reflections and artistic research on the impact of generative AI tools in creative processes .. They have evolved to become symbols, deities and characters within the work itself...
They embody expertise on 4 domains within artificial intelligence: classification, extraction, inclusion and mystification.
Every exhibition they return with new thoughts and interactions. This exhibtion they learned a new language: light! By lightsensors they get activated.. feel free to look for the little coins and use your flashlight of your mobile phone to see them in action. ︎
The deity that resonates with your typed in query awakens in response, sharing their story,
fighting dominant imaginaries and narratives entangled within the origins of artificial intelligence touching upon: mystification, gender bias, non-western algorithmic practices, the ecological footprint and labor …
The sculptures are made possible by: Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie and K.F. Hein Fonds.
