beginning with one simple rule ... like a tracking pixel, a cookie, a reputation score, a recommendation system, a step count, or a background network request each script performs a inversion. an invisible platform metric becomes a tiny bodily rule. a simple rule becomes a social machine.

alongside the browser scripts are local performance devices that extend these inversions into (online) endurance performances. where for example step counts and physical movement become forces within the computer... they allow the amount of clicks, scrolls and focus. 

the body is monitored, but the data is not used to optimize productivity, improve a profile, or make behavior more legible to a platform. it is translated into something that changes pace, limits, sounds or finds a reason to continue.
the browser is never neutral window. these scripts expose some of the systems (within this moment of time) that organize attention, market value, identity and movement.
